Light in the Deep
Ft. koi fish, which symbolize perseverance through adversity.
Some days it's hard to be a light in the thick of the heavy darkness that is the ocean abyss. 🌊
But on good days, there's strength in togetherness, found in this school of koi fish here--swimming, swirling, and lifting each other up. 🙌
I illustrated the figure and koi fish digitally and then composited in two of my watercolor paintings as the background.

This little character flies around in her hanfu dress pouring rain and water from her giant lotus leaf wherever she goes. She’s been turned into keychains, postcards, sketchbook covers, and tote bags.
